Tamil Nadu State Awards for the years 2009 - 2014 were announced last night (13th July) and director Atlee had won the State Award for Best Dialogues for the year 2013 for the film Raja Rani, which starred Arya, Nayanthara, Jai and Nazriya in lead roles.
Congratulating him on this award, his current film, Mersal's producer, Hema Rukmani of Thenandal Studios Limited tweeted, "Congratulations @Atlee_dir on the state award. So proud of you. Innum edhir paakrom ! #RajaRani #screenwriting #Mersal #tsl100"
Must be quite a happy moment for the Mersal team in celebrating their director's victory.
